Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa
In the grooming process all care is taken to ensure the health of your pet. Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa will do whatever is appropriate for the wellbeing of all pets whilst in their care. However, in the case of an incident or serious medical problem being discovered during grooming and the services of a veterinarian are required, the owner authorizes Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa to obtain veterinarian treatment. The owner agrees that Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa, its owners and operators are not liable for any pre-existing conditions and problems found during grooming and the owner agrees to pay for all medical treatment incurred due to such. Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa is not a veterinary practice and although ALL staff are first aid trained, any advice given regarding health problems should at all times be checked with a licensed veterinarian.
Matted Dogs
In the event of the pet requiring a shave down/clip off due to coat condition, the owner should be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process, as well uncovering nicks, scabs, cuts, fungal and bacterial issues, flea infestation, maggots and pre-existing irritation. Owner agrees that Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa shall not be held liable for any after-grooming effects of matt clipping procedures or problems uncovered on a badly matted/neglected coat, which could include, but are not limited to the following – itchiness, skin redness or self inflicted irritations/abrasions from excessive external rubbing or shaking.
In conjunction with the rules set out by The Animal Welfare Act 2006, (clause 5 – Animals are to be protected from pain, injury and suffering.) Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa will not de-matt coats that have been neglected and that might cause stress or trauma to the pet by doing so.
Bitches in season
Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa will not groom bitches in season If you bitch has not been neutered, please make a note of her ‘due’ times and work her grooming appointments around it, so that she is not in season for her grooming session. Should you find your bitch has come into season when she is due to be groomed, please call immediately.
Expression of Anal Glands
At Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa we will express/empty your dog’s anal glands Externally during a groom. If for any reason medical or otherwise and you would rather we didn’t please let us know. If there is any discomfort/impaction we will refer your pet to your vet.
Ear Plucking
At Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa we will remove hair from inside your dog’s ears during a groom, provided the dog’s temperament allows it and there is not excessive amount to remove or discomfort is noted. In these cases we will refer your pet to your vet.
Fees and fines
Owner agrees to pay all costs for the grooming of the pet including but not limited to special handling, de-matting, matted coat removal (shaving), and fees due to late pick up, and missed appointments. Missed appointments will incur a minimum fee of £10 per dog and will be added on to the next appointment. Repeated missed appointments will result in refusal of service. Please be on time for your appointment. Clients over 15 minutes late will be considered a missed appointment and will (in most cases) have to rebook. (Missed appointment fees may apply) Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa works by appointment and space is limited, so please be prompt.
Cancellation
We require 24hrs notice for cancellation of appointments.
Time is reserved to groom your dog.
Missed appointments will incur a cancellation fee of £10 before further appointments can be booked. Dogs arriving late may have to be re-booked and the cancellation fee will apply.
Owner consents to the display of their pet’s photographs being taken by Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa. The Brighton Pet Spa will never sell copies or grant copyright to outside persons/companies without obtaining prior written authorization from the owner.
All dogs are to be brought in and kept on a short lead at all times.
Please do not handle or approach other dogs in the shop. Not all dogs are friendly to other people and dogs may bite without warning. We can not be held responsible if you disregard this policy.
Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa reserves the right to refuse for any reason.
Owners agree to all the aforementioned terms and agree to provide the groomer with all medical and temperament information and to keep Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa updated to changes in their pet’s health. Any failure to inform Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa of any health or temperament changes may result in refusal of further grooming. This is for the safety of your pet. Owners agree to inform Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa of any change of address and/or contact telephone numbers so they can be reached when their dog’s groom is finished. Most dogs requires a minimum of 1 ½ – 3 hours or more depending on the size of the dog, the condition of the dog and the clip or style. Adore-a-Dog Grooming Spa will give a pick up time or call when the dog is completed.
Please make sure your dog has relieved itself prior to grooming.
